Eheim aquaball is designed for filtering water in aquariums with a capacity of 60 to 180 liters. In the filter, water moves from the bottom up. First, it passes through a mechanical filtration sponge located in the lower baskets. Then it is redirected into a closed cartridge, the sponge of which provides both mechanical and biological filtration. With the help of a pump located in the upper part, the filtered water returns to the aquarium.
The filter design allows for an unlimited number of additional baskets and cartridges to be attached to it. The baskets can accommodate not only sponges, but also biosubstrate or activated carbon.
The outlet spout of the filter can be directed in any direction, which allows for the regulation of the water flow direction. A diffuser is attached to the spout of the filter to aerate the water. A spray bar is used to break up the water flow.
