Eheim climacontrol+ L

You can use Eheim climacontrol+ to cool down the water temperature on hot days or warm it up on cold days, just as your aquarium inhabitants need it. The temperature in your aquarium will always be stable. The device operates much more efficiently and quietly than standard coolers with fans. Unlike coolers, it does not cause excessive evaporation of water.

Eheim climacontrol+ is an electronically controlled climate control device. You simply set the ideal water temperature wirelessly - via smartphone, tablet, or PC/MAC. If the water is too warm, the unit automatically cools down, and if it gets too cold it warms up. The unit monitors and controls everything. Also, it gives you advanced warning of any problems, such as if the required temperature is exceeded or undershot by 2 °C for more than 5 minutes, you receive a warning e-mail.

Eheim climacontrol+ is a continuous flow unit and should only be operated with clean (filtered) water. For marine water aquariums, this means with water from the filter tank (with a separate pump). In freshwater aquariums by placing it behind the external filter. Alternatively, operation via a separate pump - but with a pre-filter - directly from the aquarium is also possible here.

The distance to walls etc. should be at least 50 mm. In the base cabinet of an aquarium combination, for example, appropriate recesses must be provided for fresh air supply and warm exhaust air (for more details, see the operating instructions).

Each Eheim climacontrol+ model can cool the specified volume of water (500, 1000 or 2000 litres) by 5°C. These calculations are based on an aquarium with a lid, which is installed in a room with an air temperature (and therefore with a water temperature in the aquarium) of 30°C. Under these conditions, the device is guaranteed to be able to cool the water to 25°C.

Let's consider other options:

if the room temperature is below 30°C, the climacontrol+ will be able to cool a larger volume of water. Example: if the air temperature (and accordingly the water temperature in the aquarium) is at 27°C and we want to lower it to 22°C (by the same 5°C):

- Eheim climacontrol+ S can cool ~ 600 liters of water (+100 liters to the declared volume)
- Eheim climacontrol+ M can cool ~ 1200 liters of water (+200 liters to the declared volume)
- Eheim climacontrol+ L can cool ~ 2400 liters of water (+400 liters to the declared volume)

If the temperature needs to be lowered by 10 °C, each model should be used with a smaller volume of water than stated in the specification. Example: if the temperature needs to be lowered from 30 °C to 20 °C:

- Eheim climacontrol+ S can cool ~ 350 liters of water
- Eheim climacontrol+ M can cool ~ 650 liters of water
- Eheim climacontrol+ L can cool ~ 1250 liters of water
